IF4 Film Fest PRE-PARTY is in collaboration with with our local chapter of Trout Unlimited - Grand Valley Anglers Chapter 319. Hosted by Western Anglers with proceeds benefiting GVA. We are excited to be kicking off the festivities again this year with our annual PRE-PARTY at the shop in downtown Grand Junction. We host this annual PRE-PARTY event to allow our customers and audience to mingle in the shop before the film, meet like-minded people, and create an atmosphere that encourages community and camaraderie; and frankly, it just gives us all a few hours before having to sit quietly in a theater, so we can actually get together, talk, and hang out before the film! We’ll have a curated selection of gear on display, plenty to talk about, and some great items to raffle off before the films begin. This event has continued to grow each year and has become something our customers really look forward to. We’re already putting plans in motion to make this year’s PRE-PARTY event our most engaging and well-attended one yet, and we’d love to have you involved however possible. Your support always adds a lot of value, and we hope you can be a part of the fun again in 2026 for another great evening.

Ladies Fly Fishing Clinic:

What: Join us for a Ladies Fly Fishing Clinic, where 24 lucky ladies will take a deep dive together into the fundamentals of what, why, when, where, and how to fly fish. This event will cover topics from a gear dump, where we will cover what every piece of on-the-water gear and equipment is called and how/when to use it, to a dedicated hour long hands-on casting class, followed by a knot tying and rigging workshop, and even go through some local entomology and fly education, while we break for a lunch together! The clinic is designed to accommodate ladies of every skill level, ensuring that everyone can participate and learn. Our goal is to offer excellent information and instruction, which is why we're limiting the class size to 24 participants. If you are looking for a morning of education, hands on guidance and practice, an opportunity to build on your existing fly fishing knowledge and skills, and a chance to connect and build friendships with other local, lady anglers in our community, join us at our very first local Ladies Fly Fishing Clinic brought to you by Daniella Rogers, Grand Valley Anglers and Western Anglers Fly Shop.

How: $50.00 per lady (cash/check only), due at sign up, (this clinic is in collaboration with our local chapter of Trout Unlimited: Grand Valley Anglers, all payments must be made in cash or check). 24 ladies total, first come first serve. What: Come out and enjoy a free tying demonstration, every Saturday morning at the shop from January - mid March. Coffee and donuts supplied, Bloody Mary's welcome! Come early to secure a seat at the tying table. Cant make it? Tune in to our live broadcast on Insta/Fb.

What: Come test your tying skills and compete against 24 contestants behind their vises to tie up the most creative and effective patterns using a unique and tricky assortment of materials pre-selected and presented by the Western Anglers team. Compete before our judges for a chance to win some great prizes, all while supporting a good cause, as all proceeds go to Grand Valley Anglers Chapter 319 of Trout Unlimited. All are welcome to watch the live action tying and beer drinking, bring on the heckling!!!
When: Saturday, January 25th @ 5:30pm

How: $10 to compete, $5 to drink beer, place bets and have a great time!
